fun @no-work

Many experiences that have shaped me. Travel, hobbies, trainings etc. Each of these experiences helped unpeal the onion ever more as I keep striving to unleash the child lost underneath. And the aha moments have been truly aha – sometimes my sons during our cycle rides, sometimes my so called foolish braveries like multi-day motor bike riding, sometimes those innocuous kids I meet during my volunteering activities, and many times those wonderful long walks with my wife discovering new destinations. While none of the trips or activities may be unique, the abrasions/ polishes during these learnings are what helping me re-discover myself.

Inspirations from the Art of War by Sun Tzu

It is difficult to imagine what influence can one draw from war strategies till you read one. The Art of War surprised me with the level of operational cadence put into war planning. Almost like a run book for a successful campaign. Emotionally detaching oneself from the intent of such wars, there is a fair…

A little Odyssey

There are roads a many and journeys a plenty Some you come back to some you don’t Some you replay some you re-play again But you never live the moment twice Many roads humans use for trade and some roads for leisure Many roads connect places far and wide One road connects deep within A…

Take a grip and drive safe

It isn’t too easy to make sports inspired movies – Race wasn’t a bad attempt at bringing out the 1976 legendary duel between 2 world class F1 car racers – James Hunt and Niki Lauda. It was Racy indeed! Funnily enough though it tickled the scientist in me. And the point of debate was the…

Kids and adult-hood

One of those aha moments with kids when you don’t know where to hide.

The Economics of Swine Flu

All epidemics have evolved into a cycle that germinates, grows, plateaus and gradually reduces

Obama tax un-relief to US outsourcing companies!

Early days to predict if it would hurt India, but not too early days to start splicing and inviting comments. Obama’s new proposal (*) is an interesting move, well timed from 2 perspectives: 1. popularity: gaining commoner’s confidence who wouldn’t understand the dynamics and is happy to make an opinion out of headlines and rhetorics…
